The Links, Incorporated is excited to launch its 4th annual Black Family Wellness Expo (BFWE), an event that COLLABORATES with area community partners to improve the lives of EVERYONE from infants to seniors.   We hope the information shared will help to build happier and healthier lives!  

As background, the first one-day nationwide event, conducted by chapters and members across the country, was held in March 2023 to share information in the hope of combatting health disparities in the African American community.  Each year, the IMPACT of the event is seen through attendance and outreach.  Since 2023, BFWE’s attendance has improved 20%.  The scope has expanded to include financial wellness, voter registration and education.  The 2026 expo will offer resources covering mental wellness, a kid’s zone, presentations by renowned physicians, fitness demonstrations, mammograms, and screenings with GIVEAWAYS and SNACKS!

While the BFWE is focused on addressing health disparities within the African American community, the event is open to and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds. Our goal is to create a supportive space where everyone from infants to seniors can access valuable resources and enjoy a day dedicated to wellness and community togetherness. 

If you are interested in having a mammogram, you are welcome to schedule an appointment. However, walk-ins are welcome. Please see the information below for scheduling a mammogram and registering for the BFWE.
