OUR SIGNATURE PROGRAM
Dayton Chapter of The Links, Incorporated initiated the Emerald Dreambox Program as a means to support or young girls in our community during Covid. As with the Emerald Road in the Wizard of OZ, all roads lead to home.
The Emerald Dreambox, a mentoring program in a box, delivers virtual activities that promote self-awareness, creativity, literacy, and socio-emotional well-being for a select number of girls. Each Emerald Box provides Emerald Girls with activities that engage the brain, provide the courage to lead, and the heart to believe they can do and be anything they desire to be with the encouragement of our chapter members. The creation of the Emerald Dreambox assures monthly contact as we develop and deliver a box of facet-led program activities that engage each girl in meaningful virtual experiences to enhance literacy skills and self-awareness, build relationships with positive role models, and dream for a better tomorrow. |
